Tedeschi

Color: Strong ruby red. Clear and transparent. Bouquet :Notes of vanilla and ethereal airs depending on the period of aging in the barrel; notes of sweet fruits such as currants, blueberries, cherries depending on the varieties of grape. Flavor: Strong, rounded and warm structure. This is a well-balanced wine. After-taste confirms the notes in the bouquet. It has an enduring and persistent flavor.

Wine Enthusiast

Tedeschi's base Amarone made with grapes from various vineyards is distinctive, unique and extremely succulent. The wine boasts chewy cherries, milky chocolate, natural rubber, raisin, pine, tar, maple syrup and black stone. In fact, there is no Amarone quite like it, especially considering the immediate, incredibly intense rush of aromas that it offers.

Score: 90. —Monica Larner, October 01, 2007.

Wine Spectator

Shows aromas of ripe damson, fig and nut, with floral, mineral notes. Medium- to full-bodied, with good clean fruit, well-integrated tannins and a fresh chocolate finish. Balanced. Best after 2008. 7,500 cases made.

Score: 90. —Jo Cooke, October 15, 2007.
