Bodegas Baron has been making Sherry for over 400 years. They are one of the few that grows their own Palomino grapes. Cream Sherry is usually sweeter, and this one is no exception, but this is on the drier, crisper side of sweet. It’s made by blending Palomino and Pedro Ximenez grapes. It’s great as an aperitif, or after dinner. It’s pairs equally well with nuts, charcuterie, cheese, and cakes, pastries, and puddings. I like it on the rocks, with a splash of soda, and a lemon. It’s a perfect afternoon spritz.
