Palacio de Canedo only grows what is native, and Mencia is the native grape of Bierzo. This one is more like what the locals drink though, and not what we in America are accustomed to. This wine is fresh and juicy, made carbonically, where the grapes ferment from the inside out. I love this with pork and other rich dishes. The acidity can cut through anything. Great with a little chill. Certified organic, vegan.
